Geranium essential oil, derived from Pelargonium graveolens, is commonly used for its pleasant scent and stress-relieving properties in aromatherapy. It can help reduce feelings of stress, anxiety, sadness, and fatigue, while also improving concentration, cognitive function, and emotional balance. In addition, it has cosmetic benefits such as tightening the skin, promoting regeneration, and reducing signs of aging, as well as anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties. Some believe it can also improve blood circulation, alleviate symptoms of menstruation and menopause, lower blood pressure and pain, and boost immunity.

External use only. Do not take any essential oils internally. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. Do not apply undiluted essential oils onto the skin. Use essential oils only under the proper guidance of a qualified aromatherapy practitioner if you are pregnant or have any other medical issues. Keep away from children. Consult a qualified aromatherapy practitioner before using essential oils on children. A skin patch test should be conducted prior to using an essential oil that you’ve never used before. Once applied topically, sun exposure should be avoided, as Orange Oil exhibits photo-toxic activity. This means that it increases the effects of exposure to UV radiation, and thus can cause skin irritation, which includes blisters, burns, scabs, redness, and changes in skin pigmentation. To prevent photosensitivity, those using Orange Oil for topical application should wait 72 hours before spending prolonged periods outdoors, especially in regions with hot climates.
